Dyan Kolb is a licensed clinical social worker employed through the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Dyan received her bachelor degree in psychology through Loyola Marymount University and a masters degree in clinical social work through the University of Southern California. During her academic training, she completed her internships at inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation sites for dual disorders. Post graduate work focused on children and families where she functioned as the lead therapist for the children’s Full Service Partnership (FSP) program. In this capacity, Dyan led a treatment team that provided twenty four hour crisis and comprehensive services for children suffering from severe psychological and emotional problems and the family and community entities involved. She has been with Harbor UCLA Outpatient Psychiatry Department for over five years and is part of the multidisciplinary treatment team within the Dual Diagnosis treatment program. The clinical focus is on chemical dependency issues , mental health and the psychosocial factors that impact a client’s ability to maintain sobriety and mental health stability. Within the department of psychiatry, Dyan serves as a member of two additional treatment teams which focuses on the treatment of personality disorders and complex trauma cases. Dyan additionally has a private practice in the West Los Angeles area where she works with children, adults, couples and families, with a specialty focus in addiction treatment.
